On June 20, 2019, the 5th International Conference on Organic Crops “Best European Practices and Ukrainian Experience” was held at the Poltava State Agrarian Academy.

 The organizers of the event were the certification body "Organic Standard" and PE "Agroecology". Participants of the conference were national and foreign experts in the field of organic agriculture, in particular, from Austria, Israel, Argentina, Moldova; specialists of the Main Department of the State Consumer Service in Poltava region and representatives of international projects.

In particular, Nataliia Prokopchuk, a representative of the project “German-Ukrainian Cooperation in Organic Agriculture” and the FIBL, presented a report on the Organic Law of Ukraine. The report touched upon topics such as the basic principles and requirements for organic production, circulation and labeling of organic products, certification standards in Ukraine, fundamental principles of the Organic Law of Ukraine.

Speakers also emphasized the importance of the development of organic farming and strategies for the development of the agricultural sector, the growth of organic production and the export of environmentally friendly finished products to the EU countries.

During the conference was held an exhibition that presented producers of modern plant protection products, auxiliary products, fertilizers and equipment for organic production. Continuing the conference, the Organic Field Day was held on June 21 at the PE "Agroecology".
