Ukraine was once again strongly represented at BIOFACH, the world's largest trade fair for organic farming, which took place from 11 - 14 February in Nรผrnberg, Germany. 25 companies from all over Ukraine were represented at the large Ukrainian stand at Biofach. Taras Vyssotzky, First Deputy Minister of Agriculture of Ukraine, travelled to Biofach to support the Ukrainian exhibitors and hold many talks with other foreign delegations. A high-ranking delegation from the Ukrainian Ministry of Agriculture and the Ukrainian Food Safety Agency also travelled to Nuremberg.

The talks focused on the wide range of products offered by the exhibitors, the current situation in Ukraine and the state of implementation of organic farming legislation. Ukrainian organic products are certified according to the EU Organic Regulation. The alignment of Ukrainian organic legislation to the relevant EU Regulation is the main objective for 2025.


The National Pavilion of Ukraine at BIOFACH 2025 was organised by the UBA Ukrainian Berries Association and the State Institution Entrepreneurship and Export Promotion Office (Ukraine) and Export Promotion Officeโ€™ (EEPO, Ukraine), the national project Diia.Business, under the patronage of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, and with the financial and technical support of:

- German-Ukrainian ะกooperation in Organic Agriculture project (COA) with financial support from the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture of Germany (BMEL).

- Switzerland within the framework of the Swiss-Ukrainian Programme โ€˜Higher Value Added Trade from the Organic and Dairy Sector in Ukraineโ€™ (QFTP) implemented by the Research Institute of Organic Agriculture (FiBL, Switzerland) in partnership with SAFOSO AG (Switzerland), and the Swiss Import Promotion Programme (SIPPO) implemented by Swisscontact.

- Ukraine-Moldova American Enterprise Fund (UMAEF)
