On 13 May 2025, the grand opening of the Educational and Scientific Advisory Centre for Organic Production took place at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Husbandry Technologies, Podil State University.

More than 150 participants took part in the opening ceremony, both offline and online.

Among the guests of the event were:

  • Taras Vysotsky, First Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine;
  • Oleksandr Haidu, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Agrarian and Land Policy;
  • Dr. Stefan Dreesmann, Head of the Project German-Ukrainian Cooperation in Organic Agriculture;
  • Serhiy Tkachuk, Head of the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection;
  • Dr. Maria Kucheruk, Associate Professor of the Department of Animal Hygiene and Veterinary Services of the National Police of Ukraine at Podil State University;
  • representatives of local authorities, as well as
  • representatives of organic farms (PP ‘Kalinivsky Klyuch’, LLC ‘Koudays Ukraine’) and others.

The centre is equipped with an interactive whiteboard and the necessary equipment for effective training, as well as stands with information about organic farming and links to useful resources, including the Organic Knowledge Platform.

The Centre's activities are aimed at training students, providing advice to farmers, improving the qualifications of veterinary and agronomy specialists, and creating a platform for the exchange between players of the organic sector.

Since its inception, the Centre has already held a number of meetings and events with partner organisations, including the Kamianets-Podilskyi branch of the Khmelnytskyi Regional Employment Centre, which is actively involved in both student employment and retraining of the population.
