State Institution "Scientific and Methodological Center for Higher and Professional Pre-Higher Education" (NMZ) and Federation of the Organic Movement of Ukraine, with support of the "German-Ukrainian Cooperation in the Field of Organic Agriculture" (COA) and the online media-resource AgroPortal.ua, successfully held an All-Ukrainian competition of student works on organic topics "The Organic World in Your Hands".
The objective of the competition was to popularize organic production among students of educational institutions of Ukraine, involve students in research and increase attention of Ukrainians to the consumption of organic products. A total of 75 works from 45 universities and colleges were submitted to the competition.
A Students’ Forum, which took place on May 7, 2025, at NMZ, became the final stage of the competition. More than 100 students and teachers of universities and colleges from all over Ukraine took part in the Forum. Its participants had an opportunity to learn about the development of the organic sector in Ukraine and in the world, to receive practical information about the importance of introducing crop rotation as the basis for successful production of organic products, as well as to listen to presentations of the students-winners of the competition.
The works of the winning students were related not only to organic production directly, but also to the development of innovative organic products, the research of regional organic markets, innovative ideas regarding the introduction of organic menus in public catering establishments, as well the production of organic textile. The presentations of students-winners of the competition demonstrated students' creativity and innovative approach, in particular regarding ideas and suggestions for organic production and marketing of organic products, as well as in the research.
The winners of the organic competition received diplomas and valuable prizes, which became a well-deserved reward for research, ideas and creativity. All works of the students-winners will be posted on the Organic Knowledge Platform.
