Ukraine was once again represented with a strong presence at Biofach this year. A total of 25 companies from across Ukraine presented their products on the 180 square meter stand. The stand was representative of the wide range of organic products that are produced and processed in Ukraine. These include agricultural raw materials such as grain and sunflowers, berries, other fruits or honey. But also many processed goods such as vegetable specialties, baby food or high-quality chocolate. Plus dairy products, herbs or seeds. The organic companies came from all over Ukraine despite Russia's ongoing war of aggression. Some of the Ukrainian exhibitors are located in regions that are subject to attacks by the Russian army almost every day.

Many visitors to Biofach took the opportunity to get an impression of Ukrainian organic products and to talk to the suppliers. " "I am very pleased that Ukraine was able to present itself so strongly at Biofach despite the ongoing Russian war of aggression against Ukraine, together with the support of several international projects," said Dr. Stefan Dreesmann, head of the project "German-Ukrainian cooperation in organic farming". "And I am sure that this Biofach in particular has contributed to establishing new business contacts between Ukrainian organic companies and interested companies from all over the world. Last but not least, many visitors to Biofach were able to see for themselves the potential that Ukraine has in the production of organic products," continued Dr. Dreesmann.
